The 4th on Broadway is a downtown celebration that focuses attention on the historical significance and overall importance of the downtown area of the city of Lubbock.
The celebration starts with a parade and a street fair with live music and food. That evening there is a July 4th fireworks show at Mackenzie Park..
After the parade, the street fair begins on Broadway from University to Avenue Q. Taste food from more than 50 food and drink vendors and hear live music from more than 70 different artists on nine music stages throughout the day.
In 2011, it was the first time the Street Fair will offered three cantinas serving beer for adults There’s also a kids’ area with lots of activities for kids to participate in as well as The College Baseball Hall of Fame Fan Fest
The 4th on Broadway celebration is the largest free festival in Texas and has been providing families with good food and quality entertainment to the Lubbock community for 20 years. This event is a production of Broadway Festivals, Inc.
