The National Ranching Heritage Center is a museum and historical park located on the north boundary of the Texas Tech University campus in Lubbock. Dedicated on July 2, 1976, the 30-acre facility was established to preserve the history of ranching, pioneer life and the development of the livestock industry in North America.

The Buddy Holly Center, a historical site, has dual missions; preserving, collecting and promoting the legacy of Buddy Holly and the music of Lubbock and West Texas, as well as providing exhibits on Contemporary Visual Arts and Music, for the purpose of educating and entertaining the public. The vision of the Buddy Holly Center is to discover art through music by celebrating legacy, culture and community.

McPherson Cellars has a great place in downtown Lubbock to host that special event. It’s very spacious with an attractive outdoor area which is pleasant and relaxing..  The place has lots of unique and interesting art and their wines have a creative blend.

The Home Cafe has a nice selection of down home dishes.  Everything is fresh and the portions are large  The Home Cafe is known for thier tradional chicken fried stake, chicken, and quiche as well as their Sunday brunch.

Located accross from Texas Tech on 19th Street, Cafe J’s is atmosphere that’ portray’s a uniqie upsale feel with it’s gallery of displayes art.  It’s a good place to get all dressed up for a night out.  Cafe J’s has a nice New York style bar and are known for their martinis, and they will make them perfectly to your order. The food is always unique with the use of interesting combinations that you won’t usually see in West Texas.

Located off the side Buddy Holly Avenue in the Depot District, La Diosa’s serves, great wine and good tapas.  The atmosphere is charming and cozy with live music.  It’s a good place to meet for happy hour or some late night entertainment.
